Mr. Schmitz serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SES Holdings, LLC, which consists of two primary subsidiaries, Select Energy Services, LLC and Bell Supply Company, LLC. SES Holdings, LLC was legally formed in May 2008, although its origin traces back to Peak Oilfield Services, LLC, an oil services provider that John created and transformed into Select Energy Services through organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions.

Mr. Schmitz also serves as the President of B-29 Investments since he and his brother, Steve Schmitz, originally founded the Texas limited partnership. B-29, though its oil and gas subsidiary Sunray Capital, LP, and other key investment partners provide financial capital for SES Holdings, LLC.

Mr. Schmitz has extensive and impressive experience in the oil and gas industry. He is the President of HEP Oil Company, an exploration and production company that owns interests in approximately 1,500 producing wells throughout nine states. Mr. Schmitz is also a Board member for Forum Energy Technologies, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of mission critical, complex, stocked and custom oilfield products and related after-market technical services for use onshore and offshore.

Prior to his current involvement at SES, HEP, and Forum, Mr. Schmitz served as the North Texas Division Manager for Complete Production Services (NYSE: CPX), a publicly traded oilfield service company with a market capitalization of approximately $2.4 billion. In 1983, John founded Brammer Supply and spent the next 20 years growing the company, both organically and through acquisitions, into BSI, an integrated wellsite services provider with over 16 locations in North and East Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. BSI was acquired by Complete Energy Services (later Complete Production Services) in November 2003 and now represents the company's North Texas division. John also served as the President of Cimmarron Gathering, LP, a midstream company that focused on natural gas and crude oil gathering. Cimmarron was sold to Copano Energy in May, 2007.
